Service Delivery

Motiv8 has developed a wide range of services and initiatives. In consultation with young people, parents, community partners and other agencies one message comes through very clear - that being ‘consistency’.

  • Young people ask for consistency of staff delivering a diverse range of services from accessible venues at consistent times.
  • Parents and carers want to be assured of consistent high quality safe provision that is accessible to their child.
  • Communities want assurance that services will consistently be delivered year on year, and not move away when a specific pot of funding stops.
  • Partner agencies speak of consistency of information sharing so that complimentary provision and positive outcomes can be delivered.

Motiv8's response is to deliver services through a core Delivery Process Model:

Targeted Activities & One-to-One Support
This forms Motiv8’s core work and is based on a request for support and tailored around the needs of the individual. Motiv8 delivers a varied menu of options from arts to outdoor activities, vocational training to mentoring support.

Progression routes
Young people are encouraged to ‘move on’ both within Motiv8 and through progression to other agencies, as well as participate in shaping ongoing provision. Many young people achieve recognition through Accredited Programmes.


Open Access Activities
Delivered at set times and in specific places through community based teams, as both ‘diversionary’ provision and also to assist in developing positive peer groups and role models. Can be used to identify young people who would benefit from further targeted support, as well as create an environment where young people can experience leadership responsibilities.
